This year, I set a goal of reading through the Bible chronologically. As I wrap up the Old Testament this week, I look back on the last nine months in awe of how much I learned. Books I’d only skimmed or flipped past in previous quiet times came alive in their chronological context. My walk with God was so blessed by this study, I think every Christian should spend at least a year doing a similar reading plan (and I share why I think so in this post)!
As I look forward to starting the New Testament this Saturday, October 1st, I’m inviting YOU to join in! Each week on my Facebook page I’ll share a printable with the daily passages to read. On Sundays, I’ll host a short live video and discussion on my Facebook and Instagram, where we can all share our insights into the weekly reading.
What You Need
This is a very low-key study. I’m not going to blog about it, and you’re not required to do anything except participate in the discussion on Sundays (and that’s not even “required”!). This is truly a simple invitation to join me in the study I’ve been doing for the last nine months!
That said, your Bible study will be much more fruitful with a few of my favorite tools:
My goal is to get “my girls” in the Word. If you’ve been struggling to establish a time with God, aren’t sure where to start, or have never read the New Testament chronologically, this is for you! You can make some online friends and also know that I’ll be reading through these passages just like you are.
I hope you’ll join me – starting October 1st!
